Hello everyone!!
It's been a long time since I've wanted to make a little blog for myself on the Internet. I've procrastinated the registration to a host for a long time, but it's finally done!
I'm so happy to finally be able to talk here, share my thoughts, projects I find
cool, sides of my life. I used to code a lot and still do sometimes on my free
time, I'll probably want to share some snippets that I found useful.
I also really like wondering on other people blogs! There's a dedicated page
for those, I might even make posts on them. I find it beautiful what people can
do on the internet, and I really want to share this.
In the end, who knows what will end up on this page? It might be nothing, or a
lot! Organic growth is better anyways.
I've tried social medias many times, but it never ended up working for me. If you found yourself on such a niche website, you probably already know my stance on these platforms. I don't want this post to be yet another rant on social medias, sorry :)
Expect no regularity from me, as I don't expect to be followed by many (more than two) people either. Eventually there will be an RSS feed so you can receive notifications from your favorite reader.
Originally I planned to make a much bigger post but, I guess I forgot! I'm really happy and hope to make this place as cozy as I want it to be, at least much more cozy than modern websites. I hope you'll like it in here as well :p
Wyrm
Actually, I had to, I had to nerd just a little bit about my website and how
I made it. I just can't find the corresponding XKCD comic but, it's almost an
obligation to rent about the way you build your blog.
Mine should be pretty simple to explain however, as I'm not really a web person
but just one who enjoys exploring other people worlds via their blog.
Unless this changes in the future, this website is built with Zola. It a
neat static website generator that uses Markdown files as its primary souce.
Currently, this post is written in Markdown, then through the uses of templates
it's rendered as this beautiful page.
There is no JavaScript here, the HTML rendered by this website is actually
XHTML, which allows it to be available on more browsers. This also explains
the simplicity of this website, but this is really fine to me :)
